Bespoke Kitchen Renovations for Bayswater Homes

Many Bayswater homeowners reach a point where the old kitchen just doesn’t work anymore. The layout feels cramped, storage runs short, and the whole space feels like it belongs to a different decade.

A kitchen renovation changes that. It gives you a new kitchen built around how you actually live today.

What makes us different is straightforward. Our factory is in Bayswater VIC. We design, build, and test every kitchen here before it arrives in your home.

Built in Bayswater, Installed in Your Home

The Kitchen Design Centre has been building custom cabinetry in Bayswater since 1994. Our factory is where every kitchen begins, and it’s where decades of experience in design and build come together.

Every piece of cabinetry is made right here in Australia by our qualified cabinet makers, using in-house machinery built for precision work. No third-party manufacturers. No flat-pack components shipped in from elsewhere.

That means quality craftsmanship from the first cut to the final fit. It also means quality workmanship you can see and feel the moment your kitchen arrives. Our custom joinery is assembled and tested before it leaves the factory, so what arrives at your home is built exactly to plan.

How Established Bayswater Homes Benefit from a Bespoke Renovation

Most homes in Bayswater and Bayswater North were built in the 1970s and 1980s. Back then, kitchens were closed off from the rest of the house, bench space was limited, and storage was an afterthought. That’s the starting point for a lot of the home renovations we work on in this area.

Flat-pack systems aren’t built for these floor plans. Our renovation services are. Every kitchen is custom measured and built from scratch, using quality materials selected for the specific home. That means the design accounts for:

  • Non-standard walls, angles, and structural quirks common in older homes.
  • Storage solutions planned around how you actually use the space each day.

Beyond the kitchen itself, a resolved layout often improves how your living spaces flow into the rest of the home.

The end result is modern kitchens that fit properly and work exactly as they should. Custom kitchens built this way tend to hold up better, look better, and perform better over time.

How Much Does a Kitchen Renovation in Bayswater Cost?

Every kitchen reno in Melbourne is priced around your home, not a fixed template. The size of your space, your benchtops and splashbacks, your cabinetry finish, and your appliance choices all shape the final number.

Larger layouts with stone benchtops and integrated appliances cost more to build. A smaller kitchen with laminate finishes and a simple layout is a more modest investment.

How custom the work is drives the final cost more than anything else. Every decision affects the end result. We walk you through the details at your Project Consultation and confirm your costs at the 3D presentation, before we build a single cabinet.

What Happens Between Your First Visit and the Final Install?

Our process is built around clear communication and practical project management at every stage. Here’s what happens between your first visit and your completed kitchen:

  1. Showroom Tour – Visit one of our showrooms in Melbourne to see full-size displays, talk through your goals, and get a feel for how we approach kitchen design.
  2. Project Consultation – Once you’re ready to move forward, your designer visits your Bayswater home for a full design consultation, discussing your lifestyle, your functionality needs, and options for materials and finishes.
  3. 3D presentation – Back at the showroom, you see your new kitchen brought to life in 3D. Costs are confirmed here, and you sign off before a single cabinet is built.
  4. Factory build – Our qualified cabinet makers get to work at our Bayswater factory, building and testing every component before it leaves.
  5. Installation – Our team delivers, builds, and fits your cabinetry on site, minimising disruption and leaving your home clean and tidy.
  6. Refer your friends and family – Tell them to mention your name at any of our showrooms. If we design and build their kitchen, you receive a $500 digital gift card as our way of saying thank you.

FAQs

  • Do I need to move out during a kitchen renovation?

Most Bayswater clients stay in their home throughout the renovation, even in older 1970s and 1980s layouts. Our installation team protects your floors, contains dust, and keeps the space functional and clean at every stage.

  • What appliance brands does The Kitchen Design Centre work with?

We work with premium brands, including Miele and Quasair, chosen to suit how Bayswater homeowners actually cook and entertain. Your designer talks you through the options at your Project Consultation, matching appliances to your kitchen design rather than just what looks good on display.

  • Is there a warranty on the cabinetry and installation work?

Yes, every kitchen we build at our factory is tested before it ever reaches your home, and it’s covered by a warranty. Your designer can talk you through the specific warranty details for your Bayswater renovation at your Project Consultation, or at your nearest showroom in Blackburn, Essendon, or Eltham.

  • What kitchen styles work best for homes in Bayswater?

Bayswater homes from the 1970s and 1980s tend to suit clean, functional layouts with quality materials and a neutral colour palette. Open-plan configurations, integrated appliances, and thoughtful storage all suit these homes, and we’ll confirm the right style for your space at your Project Consultation.
