Michael Simpson is one of the founding Directors at Kitchen Design Centre. His experience in design and cabinet making kitchens extends over 20 years. With a strong passion for kitchen design, Michael puts in every effort to design a kitchen that best suits the client’s needs, without compromising on aesthetic.

As a qualified cabinet maker and has a Diploma in Interior Design. His cabinet making background means Michael gets the absolute best out of the cabinetry he designs because he understands the construction fully. Adding the interior design element to this allows him to create aesthetically beautiful kitchens that marry into homes seamlessly. Both the Eltham showroom and the Blackburn showroom have elements of Michael’s flair for design

As a qualified Cabinet Maker and Registered Builder, Peter Schelfhout understands the importance of attention to detail and the superior finish customers expect. He attributes his success to the long-standing vision of leading The Kitchen Design Centre with a hands on, collaborative style and a tireless commitment to the highest level of customer service and satisfaction.

Peter and his business partner Michael have over 60 years combined kitchen industry experience and have successfully built a reputation for quality craftsmanship and innovative ideas, including a strong environmental awareness and adopting green manufacturing principles throughout their organisation.

Corey started designing for The Kitchen Design Centre in 2010 but his experience in the industry stretches right back to 1988, his beginnings in cabinet making and installation before transitioning to design.

Corey spent 4 years designing in Ireland, working primarily in importing high end German kitchens. This developed his keen interest in European design features. He remains strongly connected to the European market thus ensuring his designs in Australia are always innovative.

Drafting kitchen configurations and figuring out the best cabinetry for the space is what makes Corey tick. The challenge of an awkward space will get him fired up so, he won’t stop until the design is right and the client is happy. The reward? A client in love with their new kitchen!

Debbie joined The Kitchen Design Centre in 2021, bringing with her more than 15 years of experience in interior design and a passion for creating beautiful, functional spaces.

With a strong background in residential interiors, Debbie has built an impressive portfolio of projects that reflect her refined eye for detail, timeless style, and practical approach to design. Her work has been featured in leading publications including Luxury Kitchens & Bathrooms Magazine and Modern Home Magazine.

Debbie is known for working closely with clients to create kitchens that are both elegant and highly personalised, carefully balancing aesthetics, functionality, and lifestyle needs. Her warm and collaborative approach ensures every project feels seamless from concept through to completion.

After achieving her Bachelor of Business (Accounting) in 1995 and working as an Accountant up until 2018, Nadia decided to pursue her passion and returned to university to complete her Diploma of Interior Design and Decoration in 2022.

Since then, she has worked on developing her experience in Interior Design, with a focus on her love for spatial planning.
For Nadia, functionality is the core to any successful design. She endeavours to create as many layout options as possible for a client, to help them understand what they cannot visualise.

Having seen her own father work as a Cabinet Maker since as early as she can remember, Nadia joined TKDC in October 2025 to expand her portfolio and interest in joinery design and manufacturing.

When presenting clients with new kitchen designs, she looks beyond just that one space. She considers all aspects of her clients’ homes to deliver a cohesive outcome.
