On behalf of The Kitchen Design Centre, we’d like to share a personal note outlining how we’re supporting our customers through the circumstances surrounding COVID-19 (coronavirus).
Please be assured that during this time, we are monitoring the situation very closely and have already implemented even more vigilant practices in our showrooms and factory. The health and safety of our customers, employees and our community is our highest priority and we are highly focused on maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
The safety comfort of our customers is of paramount importance to us. To continue to assist customers with planning their renovation during these challenging times, our showroom tours remain open by appointment only.
Our showrooms are supplied with hand sanitiser and have wash basin facilities on the premises for customers to use upon entering, during their visit, and upon leaving our showrooms. We have also increased the frequency of cleaning and sanitising. There is only one customer in our showrooms at any given time and a maximum of two people per tour (excluding your designer). Showrooms are sanitised between each appointment for your peace of mind.
To make an appointment for a private tour, contact Michael Simpson on 0419 316 672.
In our factory in Bayswater Victoria, it is regular occupational health and safety standard for our cabinet makers to wear protective gear at all times. This continues to be enforced. As our kitchens and joinery are all custom made here in Australia, there are no delays to production or deliveries. We are fully stocked and prepared for the long haul and we are committed to keeping disruption to a minimum.
Our designers are equipped with the latest technology and equipment to carry out meetings via video from within our sanitised showrooms. They are able to demonstrate and show you options and features as they would in a face to face meeting. If you feel more comfortable with video meetings, we can schedule these at times most convenient to you and your designer.
The Kitchen Design Centre has implemented a stringent management plan to reduce risk among our team and ensure ongoing continuity of design, supply and installation of our products in the safest way possible. This includes the rotation of tradespeople in homes – only one trade at a time.
Before our designers visit your home to discuss your renovation and before we install your kitchen and joinery, we ask that you let us know if anyone in your family is feeling unwell so that we may reschedule our visit to a later time. We also ask that you adhere to Federal Government directive whereby people returning from travel overseas self quarantine for a period of 14 days. Kindly let us know if you are in the quarantine phase so we can reschedule our appointment. This will help protect our designers and tradespeople as well as prevent the spread of any symptoms to the community.
We will continue to monitor and review the situation daily and follow the advice of the World Health Organisation and Australian Government to ensure we are operating in the safest way possible and to avoid minimum disruption to your renovation plans.
The Kitchen Design Centre remains committed to providing comfort and safety in Australian homes, as it has done since 1994. We will keep you updated as the COVID-19 situation develops. Please contact us if you require any further information.
We send sincere wishes for everyone to stay well and safe during these challenging times.
