Gotta love a good pantry!
When designing your designer kitchen with a kitchen designer, a very important consideration is what type of pantry to have. A kitchen designer from The Kitchen Design Centre is experienced at making the recommendations for all sorts of kitchens and client lifestyles. It is a current trend to design a “butler’s pantry” next to a kitchen if you have the space. Some clients convert their laundry into pantry if it’s next to the kitchen. This allows clever storage space to be achieved when less laundry space is required. The laundry appliances can easily be condensed on one wall, leaving enough space for additional kitchen storage. It’s amazing what can be achieved within a small floor space! Should a separate pantry room not be a possibility for your space, you may like to consider a corner pantry which allows you to step partially inside to attend to various small tasks (like making a coffee or toast). A half corner pantry is also possible if your kitchen doesn’t have a full corner available, allowing you to make use of the space in the corner by simply reaching in. Pantries that are part of a wall can be arranged with shelving and drawers, or pull-out systems like those offered by Hafele called the Lavido and the Tandem. Both of these systems are on display in our Blackburn kitchen showroom. All are perfect solutions for any kitchen design and pantry preferences.
